US sanctions three for aiding North Korea via illicit financing, cyber

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. Treasury on Monday announced sanctions on three individuals for providing support to North Korea through illicit financing and malicious cyber activity.

A Treasury statement identified the individuals as a China-base currency trader, another currency trader based in Hong Kong, and a representative of North Korea’s Korea Kwangson Banking Corp, who recently relocated to Dandong, China.
