LONDON (Reuters) – Britain added Russia’s Novikombank to its Russia sanctions regime on Friday.
According to the government’s sanctions list, it imposed a “prohibition on correspondent banking relationships and processing payments” on Russian lender Novikombank.
The bank is also subject to an asset freeze.
Britain said Novikombank was “involved in obtaining a benefit from or supporting the government of Russia”.
Novikombank said the sanctions would not affect its operations in any way.
