Lyft Appoints Charles Schwab Executive Erin Brewer as New CFO

Lyft Inc. named Charles Schwab executive Erin Brewer as its new chief financial officer, the latest C-suite shake-up at the struggling ride-hailing company.

(Bloomberg) — Lyft Inc. named Charles Schwab executive Erin Brewer as its new chief financial officer, the latest C-suite shake-up at the struggling ride-hailing company.

Brewer, who was most recently managing director of enterprise finance at Charles Schwab, will replace Elaine Paul, who is leaving Lyft but will remain as an adviser until the end of November, the company said in a statement Tuesday.

Chief Accounting Officer Lisa Blackwood-Kapral will serve as interim CFO until Brewer assumes her post on July 10.

The CFO change is the second major management reshuffle this year for Lyft, which is attempting to turn its fortunes around amid fierce competition with rival Uber Technologies Inc. Chief Executive Officer David Risher took the helm April 17, replacing co-founder Logan Green. Paul, who was appointed in December 2021, had been with the company for less than 18 months.

Lyft said the management change wouldn’t affect its previously announced financial results.
