Saudi Arabia has replaced central bank governor Fahad Al Mubarak, bringing to an end his second stint in the role.

Saudi Arabia has replaced central bank governor Fahad Al Mubarak, bringing to an end his second stint in the role.

Al Mubarak, a former Morgan Stanley banker, has been replaced by vice governor for investment and research Ayman Alsayari, according to the state-run Saudi Press Agency. 

Al Mubarak was also governor from 2011 to 2016, and was reappointed to the role in January 2021.
