LONDON (Reuters) – Around 1,500 ambulance staff in Wales who were due to go on strike on Monday have suspended those plans after receiving a pay offer from the Welsh government, the GMB trade union said on Friday.
The pay deal amounts to a one-off payment for 2022/23 in addition to an existing 4.5% pay rise, the union said, adding it would now have further negotiations with the devolved Welsh government.
A larger strike on Monday of about 10,000 ambulance staff in England represented by the same union is still due to go ahead.
